Pouria Kiani (October 22, 2000 – October 22, 2022)

Pouria Kiani was a 22-year-old student from Izeh and the eldest child of his family. He had been living in Shushtar for several years while pursuing his studies, which is one reason why little information about his personal life is publicly available. Only a few photographs and short videos, including footage from his funeral in Izeh, remain as traces of his life.
Known among those who knew him as a courageous young man, Pouria was remembered for his bravery and strong character. Far from his hometown and family, he was building his future as a university student in Shushtar.
On October 22, 2022, during the nationwide protests in Iran, demonstrations took place in Shushtar, including near the Shushtar University of Medical Sciences. According to reports, Pouria was fatally shot during these events and lost his life at the age of 22.
