Milad Khavari

Milad Khavari (November 2, 1992 – November 2, 2022)

Milad Khavari was a laborer from Dareh Shahr, Ilam Province, who had moved to Bandar Abbas to earn a living. During Iran's nationwide protests in 2022, he joined the demonstrations, standing up alongside countless others to demand his rights and freedom.
According to published accounts, Milad Khavari was abducted by Iranian intelligence forces during the protests. He was reportedly subjected to torture while in detention and lost his life as a result. Several days later, authorities contacted his family and instructed them to come and collect his body—a phone call that marked the end of their desperate hope and the beginning of an enduring grief.
