Ali Akbar Rabiei
Ali Akbar Rabiei (October 8, 1982 – October 8, 2022)
Ali Akbar Rabiei, a son of Najafabad, was a hardworking laborer and a caring father — a man from among the people whose life was shaped by struggle, dignity, and hope for his children’s future. During the 2022 uprising in Isfahan, when people took to the streets demanding freedom and human dignity, he stood beside them; unarmed, yet filled with courage and a deep belief in liberty.
In Shahpour Jadid, amid smoke, fire, and gunshots, Ali Akbar’s blood was spilled onto the streets, and his name became forever etched into the memory of the Iranian people. He is not just a name; he is a symbol of workers’ dignity, the unbreakable voice of suffering people, and the image of a generation that refused silence and surrender.
Three years have passed, yet new stories and witnesses continue to emerge. There are still families who remain too afraid to speak about what happened to their loved ones. That silence itself has become another wound carried by people who lost those closest to them in the struggle for freedom.
We fought through fire and bullets.
We fought through pain and blood.
We fought with empty hands against violence and fear.
We are Aban.
The wound that will never be forgotten.
The voice that will never be silenced.
The generation that cast fear aside to cry out for freedom.
We are Aban.
We remain bloodied,
and we will remain bloodied,
until the day freedom rises from this land.
